Family Environmental Night

We launched Earth Awareness Month with a Family Environmental Night in April. It was a huge success thanks to our dedicated staff, community volunteers and donations from the North Rosedale Park Association, local businesses and Councilman James Tate. Guests visited a variety of stations that included making recycled bookmarks, planting seeds, relay races for sorting recycled material, Go Green informational tables, and using Arts and Scraps to create recycled crafts. We also had representatives from DTE Home Energy, the THAW program and Michigan Science Center. Door prizes included a variety of energy saving items such as LED lights, window seals and door draft stoppers. The event was possible due to the Bosch Grant awarded to Cooke’s Go Green team.
